If you haven’t seen the video and routine yet, here’s everything you need to know. First, Lizzo shows followers her heavy, winged eyeliner, shimmery purple eyeshadow, and ombre lipstick in shades of purple and pink. Then she gets into the routine. To start, she skips makeup remover and instead uses about five generous pumps of Cetaphil Daily Facial Cleanser ($12), a product recommended by her makeup artist Alexx Mayo. After gently massaging the cleanser into her face, she makes sure to apply some to her chest, giving us a glimpse of her pointy pink acrylic nails with sparkling rhinestone accents.
“My chest burst,” she said. “I have extremely sensitive skin, so if I have sensitive soaps and accidentally use scented soap in one of the hotels, it’s going to make me explode and itch.”
After lathering the product well on her skin to remove any makeup residue, Lizzo rinses her face and takes the FAB Pharma Arnica Relief & Rescue Mask ($32). The mask is intended to relieve dryness, dullness, redness and uneven skin texture, as well as to improve dark circles. Finally, she uses Dr. Jart + Cicapair Tiger Grass Calming Mask ($15), which is meant to be used on clean skin for 10-20 minutes, according to package directions.
“Yeah, I left my lashes. Sometimes I like to FaceTime my boo at night,” she playfully says to the camera, referencing her boyfriend, Myke Wright, who she debuted with on the red carpet at an event in Los Angeles on June 4.
