MUNICIPAL COUNCIL … The board plans to meet behind closed doors to discuss the threat of litigation from the Sobrato organization at 340 Portage Avenue. The board will then consider approving the operating and capital budget for fiscal year 2023; adopt the annual action plan for the Community Development Block Grant; approve a 48 townhouse development at 2850 West Bayshore Road; and to pass a resolution putting to the 2022 ballot measures establishing a business tax and affirming the City’s policy of transferring funds from the gas utility to the general fund. MUNICIPAL COUNCIL … Council plans to consider ordinance requiring conditional use license to establish firearms retail business; consider an emergency ordinance imposing a temporary moratorium on the approval of development rights or building permits that involve the storage, use or handling of hazardous materials in the General Manufacturing (GM) District, the Research, Office and Manufacturing Limited (ROLM) and the Neighborhood Park Research District (RP). The board will also hear an update on the proposed Homekey project at 1237 San Antonio Road; and consider a resolution affirming reproductive rights.
