Phytoflow claims to unlock the benefits of meditation with natural extracts


The company is an original design manufacturer (ODM) that owns beauty brands such as Ujelly and Horaios.

Recently, the company launched a new brand, Phytoflow, which has been developed to address what it believes to be the consumer interest in wellness beauty products.

“While COVID-19 is still looming around the world, uncertainty and anxiety are pervasive in everyday life. It not only influences a person’s mental state, but also the appearance of their skin. We have all seen the market trends and believe that skin care products related to relaxation and wellness are the future, even in the post-pandemic era ”, said Timmy Pan, Global Head of Product Development at 3dL Inc.

Under these circumstances, the company declared that meditation was an activity that would gain popularity in the future.

According to the company’s research in this area, there has been a steady increase in Google searches for meditation since 2011.

“There are over 600 million meditators in the world. We think this is a huge potential marker to be grabbed, especially now with millions of people looking for a way to relax. The number of meditators could continue to increase long after the pandemic ”, Pan said.

Go with the flow

Inspired by this, the company turned to studies of meditation and its effects on the physical body.

“Meditation is a very quick and easy way to reduce stress and this powerful method has been used for thousands of years to relieve anxiety. Many studies have shown how meditation affects the body ”, Pan explained.

“During meditation, the brain releases a large amount of beta-endorphin, also known as the ‘happiness hormone’. And it’s not just the brain, skin cells can also produce beta endorphins during meditation.

He added that recent studies have shown that beta-endorphins not only induce pleasure, but also have an effect on the body’s repair functions.

In short, Pan explained that the release of beta-endorphins triggers skin regeneration and may help reduce skin redness and promote collagen synthesis.

To mimic the effects of meditation on the skin, the company developed Phytoflow Essence.

It has been extracted from four botanical sources: sea fennel, alpine scutellaria, rhodiola, and tephrosia purpurea seed.

According to the firm, its patented ingredient increases the secretion of beta-endorphins by 140% and promotes skin relaxation and soothing effects in 10 minutes.

“Most importantly, it works great with meditation to create a good mood not only for skin cells but also for mental health,” Pan said.

Phytoflow was launched with a range of 10 products, including a transforming gel-to-milk scrub that provides gentle exfoliation while stimulating cell renewal.

At present, the company is currently seeking distribution to expand the brand to markets in the Americas and Europe, where there is a strong culture of meditation.

Its main objective is to bring this brand and its range of products to the spa and wellness sector.
