Perfect Corp. partners with MAC Cosmetics and SoPost for product sampling experience

Artificial intelligence (AI) and augmented reality (AR) technology company Perfect Corp. partners with beauty brand MAC Cosmetics and online product sampling platform SoPost, for a first-to-market personalized product sampling experience.

Described as “next-gen product sampling,” the partnership will combine MAC Cosmetic consumers with hyper-realistic AR virtual try-on and personalized AI shade matching, along with the convenience of physical product sampling delivered to their doorstep. .

The personalized digital-meets-physical experience will be powered by the latest AI and AR technologies and will launch with MAC’s best-selling Studio Fix Fluid Foundation in the UK, with 80,000 foundation samples available.

Perfect Corp. and MAC Cosmetics will deliver the personalized sampling service via a call to action that sits across multiple activation points throughout the consumer journey, including social platforms Facebook and Instagram, and retailer websites and brands. It will offer MAC customers the option to claim a sample of Studio Fix Fluid Foundation, which when clicked will open to a special landing page that hosts the virtual try-on experience for the product.

Using augmented reality and artificial intelligence, customers will discover the exact shade from 67 included shades that suit them best with the option to claim the product sample that has been suggested. Customers will then be prompted to fill in their personal shipping information and samples will be delivered to their doorstep.
