One Workington man’s business Bugalugs Pet Care secures big deal

A Workington man started a dog grooming business that now sells his products in the area.

Lee Dobinson, who is the founder and CEO of Bugalugs, realized that there was a lack of transparency with the ingredients on dog grooming products.

At the time, Lee was already running a successful business, Lakeland Cosmetics, the parent company of Bugalugs, and so decided to start making safe, vegan, and cruelty-free pet products.

Lee explains that he uses only the highest quality ingredients and makes sure to create products that pet owners and groomers can always trust.

Mr Dobinson said: “Asda’s success has presented Lakeland Cosmetics, the home of Bugalugs, with the opportunity to grow the business. This includes actively hiring more staff as well as working with more local independent businesses.

“A positive result which we believe is important for the brand and the community. »
