New stores opened, no longer planned in Charlotte area malls

Shoppers have a growing number of stores to discover in Charlotte area malls.

Mall owner Simon, which operates Concord Mills and SouthPark and Charlotte Premium Outlets in Steele Creek, announced several recent and planned store openings.

New stores at Concord Mills

Here’s what opened up to Concord mills:

â–ª Sephora opened last weekend. The national cosmetics supplier also recently announced that it will be opening a store at Birkdale Village in Huntersville.

â–ª Bliss Modern Furniture, a furniture and home decor store, is now open.

â–ª Dope Duffle, which sells backpacks, luggage and sportswear, is now open.

â–ª Lee Wrangler Customs Clearance Center is open.

â–ª Mi Casa, a large women’s clothing store, is open.

â–ª Pepper Palace, a retailer of hot sauce, salsa and all-natural seasonings, is open.

â–ª Vivian Jewelers is scheduled to open on June 1.

â–ª BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse will open, but no date has yet been released.

â–ª DICK’S, a sporting goods store, opened in February, moving from Northlake Mall, the Observer previously reported.

There are 188 stores and restaurants in Concord Mills, according to the company’s website.

New stores at SouthPark Mall

Here’s what recently opened and will open at South Park:

â–ªBOSS, a men’s sports and leisure clothing retailer The store opened on April 30.

â–ªVince, a Los Angeles-based luxury clothing brand for men and women. It will open on May 21.

â–ªFree People Movement, sale of sportswear and supplements. It will open June 1.

â–ªGolden Goose, a fashion brand with clothes, accessories and shoes. It will open on July 28.

â–ª Saint Laurent, eminent Parisian fashion designer from clothing for women and men, leather goods, shoes and jewelry will also open soon.

â–ª The Copper Closet, a boutique where everything costs $ 45 or less, is now open.

â–ªGucci opened in December, marking the first store in North Carolina, the Observer previously reported.

There are 163 stores and restaurants in SouthPark, according to the company’s website.

New stores at Charlotte Premium Outlets

Here is what opens to Charlotte Premium points of sale:

â–ªMarc Jacobs, the collections of American fashion designers include ready-to-wear clothing, handbags, perfumes and cosmetics. The nearly 3,000 square foot store will be located between Puma Outlet and the food court, the Observer previously reported. It is the brand’s first store in North Carolina.

â–ª Spencer’s specialty gift chain with trendy and trendy products will be opening soon.

There are 102 outlet stores and restaurants, according to the company’s website.

Charlotte Premium Outlets detailed the opening of new stores.

Simon shopping centers continue to follow coronavirus safety protocols including a requirement for employees, retailer employees and shoppers to wear masks, according to the company’s website. Shopping centers have also converted to hospital-grade filtration systems and have set up hand sanitizing stations at entrances and in shopping centers. Some retailers offer curbside and in-store pickup.

The Carolina Place Mall had no opening announcements to share, according to a company official. Northlake Mall did not respond to comments on the new stores.
