For years, Fortnite has managed to be one of the most popular online battle royale games. In 2018, the popular title was ported to the Nintendo Switch.
Epic Games recently updated the Nintendo Switch version of Fortnite which claims to improve the overall performance of the game. The developers also added that the update slightly increased the resolution of the game.
Since its release on Switch, gamers have either loved it or absolutely hated the port.
However, things have gone wrong (literally) since the update was released.
I love how every 5 days Fortnite pumps up the item store so full of crap the textures don’t even load, like I want to see what I’m buying in terms of skins specially highlighting the fact that so many of skins have physical issues that I don’t want to buy skin where the bangs cross the forehead and the collar vibrates because I couldn’t see the physique when purchasing. Several players have reported seeing low-res Fortnite cosmetics or textures on the Nintendo Switch.
As far as I know, no one is talking about the fact that Beach Brutus doesn’t have a tattoo on the back of his head. Does anyone know anything about this? Graphics tho. (Source)
However, the issue only affects character skins in locker rooms. But they look perfectly fine once the game starts.
Gamers quickly took to the internet and shared a glimpse of the low-res Fortnite cosmetic models on the Nintendo Switch. Below you can get a quick rundown of what it looks like and what it should be like.
While that doesn’t make the game unplayable, it’s pretty boring if you want to check out the skins you own. Fortunately, Epic Games recognized the problem and even suggested a temporary workaround which is to restart the game.
The company also added the issue to its Trello board, suggesting that a fix for the low-res cosmetics issue in Fortnite on the Nintendo Switch is in the works.
