Facelifted Maruti Ertiga spied undisguised; Launch in early 2022

The Maruti Ertiga facelift was spied on in open testing ahead of its 2022 launch. The MPV is expected to receive subtle cosmetic upgrades to the exterior and interior profile as well as new features.

Going through the spy shots, the Ertiga will get a new mesh type grille. No other changes are visible at this time, but we’ll know more as the launch nears. The interior has yet to be seen, but is expected to receive new features and revised upholstery. The redesigned Ertiga is expected to benefit from a larger touchscreen infotainment system, connected car technology (telematics), wireless Android Auto and Apple Carplay, a new instrument cluster , dedicated AC vents for the third row and cruise control. Its safety features should also be updated with several airbags in the top trims.

Currently, the minivan is equipped with projector headlights, a 7-inch touchscreen, Android Auto and Apple Carplay, an engine start / stop button, automatic air conditioning, two front airbags. , hill-hold control, ESP (electronic stability program) and rear parking. camera.

No mechanical changes are expected on board as the facelift is expected to continue with its 104hp 1.5-liter petrol engine. While its existing 5-speed manual transmission will continue, the 4-speed torque converter could be replaced with a newer unit. It will also continue to offer mild hybrid technology and optional CNG.

The restyled Ertiga is expected to charge a premium over its current price range of Rs 7.96 lakh to Rs 10.69 lakh (ex-Delhi showroom). Maruti plans eight new launches in 2022, which will include restyled versions of the Brezza, Baleno, XL6 and even Ertiga.
