THE WHAT? Credo Beuaty has announced that it has acquired Follain. As part of the acquisition, Credo will absorb the Boston-based beauty retailer’s online retail business and storefront in Beacon Hill. The terms of the contract are not disclosed.
THE DETAILS The Follain-branded skincare line will join Venus Williams’ EleVen and Exa as part of Credo’s own-brand portfolio.
Founder and CEO of Follain, Tara Foley will be supporting Credo as an advisor over the next few months. After the transition, she will continue her consulting work with targeted beauty brands and CPGs. “This is a proud moment in Follain’s history and an important moment in the evolution of clean beauty,” says Foley. “We believe this will strengthen the mission-driven beauty movement by creating the leading retailer of clean beauty products and the standard bearer the industry needs. We are happy to see that the Follain brand and products continue to make an impact in their new home with Credo.
