It’s been a little over a year since our last interview. Can you tell us about the evolutions of your CSR in Anjac?
Aurélien Chaufour – The Anjac Group and I have very strong convictions and attach great importance to CSR. After three years of rapid acquisitions, I wanted us to step up our actions and promote synergy between companies. Also, this year, with our 12 companies, we have co-built an ambitious and very concrete CSR strategy for the next five years.
Our goal is to continue to move forward quickly in order to create value for our customers and territories where safety, health and the environment are the number one priorities.
Aurélien Chaufour – Does innovation still have a place in your CSR strategy?
More than ever! Innovation is a constant driver, and I think it is a great motivator the products and services we offer. Not only does this further encourage the environment durability, but it also emphasizes consumer health and regional benefits. CSR brings challenges, but above all, it creates value for our industries and our businesses.
Innovation is the cornerstone of our group’s CSR strategy. I can already proudly tell you that 90% of innovations resulting from our own R&D relate to sustainability. This is the result of many years of work by our R&D teams. the Anjac Green Attack The innovation program guides our internal actions towards sustainable innovations affecting formulas, processes and packaging. Solid cosmetics, certified household compostability, natural approach, natural health … the achievements are numerous. And our R&D committee is working to go even further …
Our Responsible purchasing policy goes hand in hand with our goals. Anjac started to work with our best suppliers through EcoVadis, an internationally recognized rating system.
Aurélien Chaufour – What actions is your CSR strategy based on and how is it implemented within your companies?
Innovation is the first pillar. Then, we chose very concrete and pragmatic actions that allow us to involve all the teams and companies. CSR is everyone’s business.
We must build an industrial model that combines durability and performance. This involves eco-efficiency and the reduction of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions at our manufacturing sites. We have set our goals for the next five years and we can share them with our customers with complete transparency.
the ECOVADIS The rating, which covers the entire 360 ° vision of an integrated CSR approach, helps us measure our progress and creates a challenge for each of our sites. Already in 2021, we have reached a milestone, with 51% of the group’s sales reaching a Gold medal Evaluation. We have set ourselves the goal of reaching Gold in all areas within five years, so why not go for Platinum!
Aurélien Chaufour – What about your social and societal actions?
Obviously, all of this progress is possible thank you to our teams, who are very motivated by their impact on people. We prioritize security, as well as an independent team development without pressure, always promoting the entrepreneurial spirit of the group.
Our “Zero accident” policy is a priority, deployed at each of the group’s sites.
Our societal commitment reflects our values and our activities in our territories. Human and Health, in its entirety, sums up what is most important to us. We support the Gustave Roussy Hospital, the No.1 pediatric cancer center in Europe, HAVE, the first network in the cosmetics industry providing beauty care to hospitalized patients; EPIC, with its associations Prerana and Agir pour l’École; and the Maison des Femmes, a unique medico-social structural model of care and support for women victims of violence. And of course, we attach great importance to universality access to daily care, this is why we regularly donate products, an action that we have found very effective.
Aurélien Chaufour – Do you have anything else to tell us before you leave?
The Anjac Group displays clear ambitions to its clients and CSR objectives, Guided by innovation. This marks a new stage in our development. We are in the process of actively contributing to the transformation of our Health and Beauty industries.
