Out with flags, in with tags
Flags were used to bookmark and share pages of student work with your team, but they were limited to a single red icon. This left many to wonder, “Why was this page flagged?”
We’re happy to announce that we’ve replaced the flag feature with a more meaningful, flexible way to organize student work — tags. Pages can now be identified with descriptive terms, rather than an icon. Have you found an outstanding student answer? Tag it with “exemplary”. Need help grading a page? Tag it with “need help”. You can add as many tags as you wish to each page.
This feature can be found in the grading sidebar, where the Flag button used to be.
If you’re wondering what’s happened to the flags on your old assessments, fear not: we’ve converted them to tags called “flagged”.
Harness the grading grid with filters
Many of you asked for an easy way to view only flagged pages or pages graded by a specific person. Now, instead of scrolling through the grid, you can use filters to find those pages.
In the Filter evaluations dialog, select a tag, a combination of tags or a grader. You’ll see a condensed version of the grid with only your selections.
When you click on a filtered page and enter the grading view, navigation will be a little different. Instead of the arrows and Next ungraded button, you can click the Next filtered button to loop through the filtered pages.
