The Crowdmark platform transforms traditional assessment into an enriched dialogue between students and instructional teams.
To further enhance distance learning success, Crowdmark consistently deploys new features to help learning institutions advance their teaching, learning, and research mission further. Independent research already validates the benefits of online collaborative grading. With input from students, professors and administrators using our platform, Crowdmark continuously improves. I’d like to share some highlights of what you can expect from Crowdmark.
Academic integrity
Crowdmark promotes academic integrity. The student submission log tracks a student’s every action within a remote assessment and provides a unique file identifier on student uploads. While grading, tagging evaluations for further review enables instructors to filter responses and make informed observations on students’ submitted content. Once an instructor returns an assessment to students, our searchable archive of student work, together with the associated feedback and scores, streamlines the grading review process.
For in-person assessments, the Exam Matcher app powers new methods and technologies to combat cheating and detect imposters masquerading as students taking in-person exams. With systems that promote sharing of assessment data among stakeholders, Crowdmark helps universities encourage honesty, transparency and integrity within all academic programs.
Insights into teaching and learning performance
We’ve based Crowdmark on the principle that a university should own and control its assessment data; a private company should not own work created by students, evaluations and feedback generated by grading teams, and the exam questions authored by professors. Crowdmark captures the enriched dialogue between students and instructors and generates a university-owned data stream brimming with insight potential. We’ve built tools to manage and visualize this data: student analytics reporting provides students with a visual representation of their progress across assessments, as well as direct links to their highest and lowest scores; instructors have access to analytics on TA or graders’ individual progress through an assessment as well as the ability to override their evaluations, and institutional managers have access to user data and analytics across their institution.
A universal assessment and digital grading platform
The Crowdmark platform supports efficient distribution, collection and online collaborative grading of digital and paper-based student works. Instructors can grade online homework, in-class quizzes, group projects, research, lab reports, essays, art and design projects, midterm, final and two-stage exams, and any other, all on Crowdmark.
With encouragement from our customers, Crowdmark will become more flexible with support for a variety of assessment formats and enriched evaluations with multidimensional rubrics.
Crowdmark is built by educators for educators and their students. We welcome your feedback and suggestions for how to make our platform work better for you.
